Fire Ravages Kano Market, Destroys Properties Worth Billions

A massive fire outbreak has engulfed a popular market in Kano State, destroying properties worth billions of naira. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, left traders and residents in shock as they watched their livelihoods go up in flames.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire started from an electrical fault in one of the shops and quickly spread due to the market’s congested nature. Firefighters battled for hours to contain the blaze, but the damage was extensive.

The Kano State Fire Service has launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire. Meanwhile, affected traders are calling for government assistance to rebuild their businesses.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of markets in Nigeria, with stakeholders urging improved fire prevention measures and emergency response systems.
