Owerri Municipal Executive Chairman Inaugurates Ikenegbu Ward 2 Youth Association Executives
The newly elected executives of the Ikenegbu Ward 2 Youth Association were officially presented to the leadership of Owerri Municipal Council today by the Councillor of Ikenegbu Ward 2, Hon. Chris Onyenwere. The Councillor, who supervised the recently concluded youth elections, described the process as peaceful, free, and fair.
The executives began their official introduction at the office of the Deputy Mayor, Hon. Sir Law Okoye KSJI, who also serves as the leader of the Non-Indigene Wards. Welcoming the delegation, the Deputy Mayor commended the councillor’s dedication and loyalty to leadership, urging the new executives to emulate his commitment to service.
He also acknowledged the Executive Chairman, Hon. Bldr Chidiebere Emeribe, for providing the platform that enabled youth elections in the Non-Indigene Wards. He further advised the executives to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their responsibilities.
At the office of the Executive Chairman of Owerri Municipal Council Hon. Bldr Chidiebere Emeribe , the newly elected executives were formally presented with their Certificates of Return. Addressing them, Hon. Bldr Chidiebere Emeribe congratulated the executives on their electoral victory.
Drawing from his experience as a former youth chairman, he emphasized the qualities of effective leadership and urged them to uphold their promises to their community.
He reiterated the significance of Ikenegbu Ward 2 in the municipality’s leadership and assured them that his office remains open for collaboration.
In his remarks, the Secretary of the Municipal Council, Hon. Uche Ebere, encouraged the new leaders to uphold integrity and loyalty, emphasizing that these values would define their success.
The ceremony concluded with the Executive Chairman officially presenting the Certificates of Return to the executives, followed by the councillor administering the oath of office.
With this inauguration, the Ikenegbu Ward 2 Youth Association embarks on a new chapter of leadership, service, and community development.
