Umuahia, Abia State – The Abia State government has announced the passing of Mr. Sunny Nwanganga Onwuma, the State Commissioner for Labour and Productivity and immediate past Commissioner for Transport. Onwuma, who hailed from Ihie in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area, died on Monday at the age of 61 after a brief illness.
The sad news was confirmed by the State Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, in a statement released on behalf of the Abia State government.
A Life of Service
Mr. Onwuma was a dedicated public servant who contributed significantly to the development of Abia State during his tenure as Commissioner for Transport and later as Commissioner for Labour and Productivity. His commitment to improving the lives of Abia residents and his tireless efforts in governance earned him respect and admiration across the state.
