Sporting Lagos head coach, Shola Adegun, has assured fans that the team will be reinforced with quality signings before the commencement of the second half of the season. Adegun acknowledged that injuries significantly impacted the team’s performance toward the end of the first stanza, leaving them in fifth place on the Conference B table with 14 points.
Speaking to Sporting Lagos media, Adegun admitted, “We figured out that we have a little bit of a lean squad. With a few injuries, it kind of knocked us off balance a bit.”
He emphasized the need to bolster the team’s depth and quality, stating, “For sure, we are looking to add numbers, and at the same time, we are looking to add more quality to the group. We are searching, and hopefully, we can find one or two before the league resumes.”
