War: Russia Launches 1,200 Aerial Bombs, 870 Drones, 80 Missiles on Ukraine

In a massive escalation of hostilities, Russian forces have launched a devastating aerial assault on Ukraine, deploying over 1,200 aerial bombs, 870 drones, and 80 missiles in a single day. The attacks targeted key infrastructure, military installations, and civilian areas across the country, causing widespread destruction and casualties.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry confirmed the attacks, describing them as one of the largest aerial offensives since the conflict began in 2022. “The enemy has intensified its aggression, using a combination of bombs, drones, and missiles to inflict maximum damage. Our air defense systems have intercepted many of the attacks, but the scale of the assault is overwhelming,” said Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov.

The attacks have left several cities in ruins, with reports of significant damage to power plants, hospitals, and residential buildings. Casualty figures are still being compiled, but local authorities have confirmed dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attacks in a televised address, calling on the international community to take immediate action. “This is not just an attack on Ukraine; it is an attack on humanity. The world cannot stand by and watch as innocent people are killed and cities are destroyed. We need more support, and we need it now,” Zelensky said.

The United Nations has expressed deep concern over the escalation, with Secretary-General António Guterres calling for an immediate ceasefire. “The continued violence is causing unimaginable suffering and must stop. All parties must return to the negotiating table and work towards a peaceful resolution,” Guterres said.

The attacks come amid reports of a renewed Russian offensive aimed at gaining control of key territories in eastern Ukraine. Analysts believe that the latest assault is part of a broader strategy to weaken Ukraine’s defenses and force a negotiated settlement on Moscow’s terms.

The international community has reacted with outrage, with several countries pledging additional military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The United States, European Union, and NATO have all condemned the attacks and reaffirmed their support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

As the conflict enters its fourth year, the people of Ukraine remain resilient, but the toll of the war is evident. With no end in sight, the latest escalation has raised fears of a prolonged and even more devastating conflict.
