Supreme Court Removes Abure as Labour Party Chairman

The Supreme Court has removed Julius Abure from his position as the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP).

A five-member panel of the Supreme Court made a unanimous decision that the Court of Appeal in Abuja did not have the authority to declare Abure as the party's chairman.

The Supreme Court stated that issues of party leadership are internal matters and the judiciary has no jurisdiction over them.
