Soludo Warns Against Political Attire Distractions as Tinubu Visits Anambra State

As President Bola Tinubu visits Anambra State to commission key projects, Governor Chukwuma Soludo has cautioned against distractions stemming from political party attires and rivalries. Addressing concerns about potential tension, Soludo and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) leadership emphasized that Anambra remains peaceful and united in welcoming the President, urging residents to focus on the significance of the visit rather than partisan displays.

The governor’s warning comes amid speculation about political alliances and alleged friction between APGA and the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the November governorship election. Soludo, however, remains focused on showcasing his administration’s achievements and has dismissed attempts to politicize the President’s visit, describing such efforts as baseless distractions.

APGA representatives reiterated that the visit is an opportunity to celebrate progress in Anambra, not a platform for political theatrics. They called on all citizens to avoid actions-including the display of party attires-that could detract from the unity and purpose of the event.

Soludo’s stance underscores his commitment to good governance and a peaceful environment, urging all stakeholders to put Anambra’s development above political interests as the state hosts President Tinubu for the commissioning of signature projects.
