The highly anticipated friendly match between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, originally scheduled for today at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, has been postponed.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the fixture will now take place on Monday at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta. The postponement was due to the late arrival of the Cameroonian team, whose head coach, Jean Baptiste Bisseck, only unveiled his squad on Friday. The players and officials are expected to arrive in Nigeria later today.
This match is the first leg of a double-header friendly between the two African women’s football powerhouses. Fans will now have to wait until Monday to see the Super Falcons in action against their Cameroonian rivals.
