Court Admits Videos as Evidence in Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial

The Federal High Court in Abuja has admitted into evidence three video recordings as part of the ongoing trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The videos feature retired General T.Y. Danjuma, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, and the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Adeola Ajayi.

Justice James Omotosho accepted the flash drive containing the videos marked as Exhibit PW-P and a certificate of compliance, marked as Exhibit PWP-1, after they were tendered by Kanu’s counsel, Paul Erokoro (SAN). The Federal Government’s lawyer, Adegboyega Awomolo (SAN), did not oppose their admission.

During Thursday’s proceedings, the videos were played in open court, and the prosecution’s witness, a DSS operative identified as BBB, was cross-examined by Erokoro regarding their content. The court’s acceptance of these videos as evidence marks a significant development in Kanu’s high-profile trial.
