Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), is set to lead a national prayer session dedicated to the restoration and expansion of Nigeria’s struggling economy. The prayer session will take place during the RCCG’s July 2025 thanksgiving service, themed “Divine Intervention,” at the church’s national headquarters in Oyingbo, Lagos.
This initiative comes amid mounting economic hardship and inflation that have severely impacted the lives of millions of Nigerians. Speaking through his Special Assistant on Administration, Pastor Dele Balogun, Adeboye emphasized that the nation’s current challenges are surmountable through faith, positive action, and a collective rejection of negative thinking. He expressed confidence that, with divine intervention, Nigeria’s economic decline could be reversed and the country could be transformed into a realm of new opportunities.
Adeboye called on Nigerians to embrace hope and faith-based reasoning, urging citizens to move away from despair and negative confessions. “Our nation, Nigeria, as well as other nations of the world, are going through a challenging time. However, the good news is that these challenges are surmountable by faith, if we do not entertain doubt,” he said.
Supporting the initiative, Pastor Olusegun Macaulay, Assistant Pastor in Charge of Province 1, RCCG, noted that a dedicated team is already praying for the nation throughout the second half of the year, focusing on the economy, environment, and national stability. He stressed that divine opportunities are triggered by God and benefit those who are spiritually connected.
The prayer session is intended to spark national transformation and inspire a renewed sense of hope and unity among Nigerians as the country seeks solutions to its economic woes.
