Enugu State has launched the Enugu Campus Hackathon 2025, a $100,000 innovation competition designed to discover and accelerate the next generation of Nigerian coders, developers, and tech entrepreneurs. The initiative brings together students and young innovators from multiple leading universities including Godfrey Okoye University for a high-stakes, multi-campus sprint focused on building real-world solutions in areas like fintech, agritech, artificial intelligence, and clean energy.
Winners will share over $100,000 in cash prizes, mentorship, and startup support, making it one of the largest hackathon prize pools in Nigeria’s history. The event is part of a broader push by the Enugu State Government to bridge the digital divide, empower youth, and position the region as a new hub for Africa’s emerging tech revolution. Partners such as The Garage, Genesys Tech Hub, and the Enugu SME Center are providing resources, guidance, and industry connections to help participants turn their ideas into scalable ventures.
The hackathon is open to tech enthusiasts, developers, designers, and anyone with bold ideas, offering a launchpad for future innovators to gain visibility, funding, and practical experience. Applications are now open for startups and individuals ready to compete for the top prizes and a chance to make a mark on Nigeria’s technology landscape.
