Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has married his fourth wife, Hiqma, in a private ceremony held over the weekend in Abuja. The intimate event was attended by close friends and family members, reflecting Bello’s preference for keeping his personal life discreet.
The marriage was publicly confirmed through an Instagram post by Bello’s third wife, Hafiza Yahaya Bello, who warmly welcomed Hiqma into the family. Hafiza wrote, “Our family just got a little bigger and more loving,” expressing gratitude and praying for peace and blessings in their home.
Bello, who served as governor of Kogi State from 2016 to 2023 under the All Progressives Congress (APC), was previously married to Amina Oyiza Bello, Rashida Yahaya Bello, and Hafiza Bello. Throughout his political career, Bello has maintained a low-profile concerning his family life, rarely sharing details publicly.
His latest marriage marks a new chapter in his private life following the conclusion of his tenure as governor. Academically, Yahaya Bello holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
