Obidient Movement to Hold One Million Man March in Abia Cities on July 19 to Celebrate Peter Obi’s 64th Birthday

The Abia State chapter of the Obidient Movement has announced plans to stage a ‘One Million Man March’ simultaneously in four major towns Umuahia, Aba, Ohafia, and Uzuakoli on July 19, 2025, to mark the 64th birthday of Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate. The announcement was made in a statement issued in Umuahia on Sunday.

The march aims to show solidarity and support for Obi, who recently adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as his platform for the 2027 presidential election. The Obidient Movement described the ADC as an “Organic Coalition Movement” and highlighted Obi’s belief in building bridges to dismantle poverty and insecurity in Nigeria.

In addition to the mass march, members of the Obidient Movement plan to visit prisons, hospitals, and other vulnerable groups across Abia State as part of their activities. The event is framed not just as a birthday celebration but as a demonstration of commitment to good governance, justice, and political awakening.

The movement has also emphasized that the rally is a people-powered day of service and political mobilization, including advocacy for electoral reforms under the campaign #PassOurINECReform.

This large-scale mobilization underscores the continued grassroots support for Peter Obi and the growing momentum of the Obidient Movement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
