“Bullets Stuck in My Head” - Angela Okorie Reveals Ongoing Effects of 2019 Assassination Attempt

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has disclosed that fragments of bullets fired at her during a 2019 assassination attempt remain lodged in her head, causing persistent health challenges years after the attack. Sharing footage of recent medical scans and evaluations on social media, Okorie revealed she has spent the past two weeks moving between hospitals undergoing a series of tests due to worsening symptoms, including blurry vision and severe headaches.

Her doctors have advised bed rest as her condition requires close monitoring. “I haven’t been feeling too well,” she said, adding, “As years go by, more fragments still come out of my head.” The actress expressed gratitude for her survival, attributing her endurance to divine mercy. “God is with me, no doubt. May His name be praised,” she wrote.

Okorie sustained multiple head injuries after being attacked by suspected gunmen in December 2019. She has maintained that the attack was orchestrated by individuals within the movie industry and has vowed never to forgive those responsible. Her latest health update highlights the long-term physical and emotional scars from the violent ordeal, reminding Nigerians of the profound impact such trauma has on victims even years later.

Fans and colleagues have flooded her with messages of support and prayers, rallying behind her as she navigates the difficult path toward recovery.
