Thierry Henry Urges Eberechi Eze to “Fight No Matter What” for Arsenal

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has warmly welcomed the club’s new signing, Eberechi Eze, urging the England international to fight for the Gunners “no matter what” and to make his arrival count at the Emirates Stadium.

Henry’s heartfelt message came after Arsenal secured Eze’s signing from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace for £68 million, a move officially unveiled at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, Henry expressed delight at Eze joining the club he once starred for. He said, “First and foremost, welcome to Arsenal. You don’t understand how happy we all are. We all know how much you wanted to play for The Arsenal, and wear the cannon at the Emirates. It’s not a dream anymore, it’s not a utopia. That has become reality. Make sure that you make it count.”

Henry reminded Eze of what Arsenal stands for, saying, “Remember, when I first arrived at Arsenal, they told me that it is a club that has class, it’s a family club, and you got to fight no matter what.”

Eze, 27, returns to the club where he spent part of his youth career, and he was warmly received by Arsenal fans during his unveiling before a home fixture against Leeds. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised Eze’s mentality and ambition as vital for the team’s goals.

The signing signals Arsenal's intent to build on its progress and competition for major trophies this season, with Eze expected to bring creativity and spark either on the wing or in central midfield.

Henry’s message highlights the club’s tradition and culture of resilience, unity, and high standards values he encourages Eze to embrace fully as he embarks on this new chapter with the Gunners.
