How My Song Helped Someone at Psychiatric Home Out of Depression - Vector

Nigerian singer and rapper Vector Tha Viper has shared a touching story about the impact of his hit song "Early Momo," featuring Goodgirl LA, in helping a person at a psychiatric home overcome depression.

Vector made the revelation during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, where he spoke about the power of conscious music.

He explained that success in music should be measured beyond chart rankings, focusing instead on its meaningful influence on listeners’ lives.

Vector elaborated, "I can tell when people are going through a tough time because certain records come up on streams. Like the record with Seyi Vibez, ‘Mercy.’ When it pops up, you will know that people have started overthinking. And that is what music should really be. It should be spread across in such a way that whatever people are going through, they find the music to fit that purpose."

He recounted how he received a message from a psychiatric home saying that "Early Momo" helped a listener suffering from depression.

“That’s a successful moment in somebody else’s life that I didn’t even intend to. So, success has different definitions,” Vector said.
