Renowned Nigerian gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has shared a deeply personal and emotional testimony regarding the health challenges his wife endured, revealing that she suffered five miscarriages, including an ectopic pregnancy, while he was leading the ongoing Hallelujah Challenge, a month-long virtual praise and worship session.
Bassey disclosed that despite the painful experiences, he remained committed to his ministry and would often leave his wife at the hospital to lead live praise sessions online. “My wife will have to forgive me,” he said, recounting how there were times when she had a miscarriage, yet he continued to praise and dance online without the public knowing.
He shared that during one of the most difficult times, his wife was hospitalized due to an ectopic pregnancy. He would alternate between hospital visits and ministering online, with nurses commending the power of the worship sessions. Bassey emphasized the faith and resilience required through such trials, reminding believers not to give up on God.
The couple, married since 2013, is blessed with two children and continues to inspire many with their story of faith amidst difficult circumstances.
