The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, will lead a special nationwide prayer session to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary. Guided by divine direction, the prayer initiative is aimed at seeking God's intervention for peace, unity, and economic restoration within the country.
The prayer event is scheduled for October 5, 2025, at the RCCG’s National Headquarters, The Throne of Grace Parish, Redemption Way, Ebute-Metta, Lagos. Church officials have invited government executives, legislators, politicians, electoral officials, and the general public to join the prayers.
In previous statements, Pastor Adeboye emphasized the critical role of faith in overcoming Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges, urging Nigerians to embrace positive thinking and trust in God’s ability to reverse difficult situations. This prayer initiative coincides with other national efforts focused on transparency, integrity, and good governance.
The RCCG leadership believes that collective prayer is vital in activating divine opportunities and fostering national development as the country commemorates this significant milestone.
