Pastor Tunde Bakare, founder of the Citadel Global Community Church, has affirmed that President Bola Tinubu’s rise and leadership of Nigeria are divinely ordained and supported by God. Speaking at the inaugural Citadel School of Governance Dialogue in Lagos, Bakare asserted that no one can remove Tinubu from office except God Himself.
Emphasizing the spiritual dimension of Tinubu’s presidency, Bakare stated, “If God wants to remove ‘Emilokan,’ He knows how to do it. You can’t get the kind of thing Tinubu has brought without God’s support.” The cleric highlighted that Tinubu’s emergence as Nigeria’s leader happened at a crucial time by divine backing, underscoring the notion that his leadership is under God’s protection.
Bakare’s remarks position Tinubu’s administration as one with a providential mandate, suggesting that any political efforts against him are ultimately subject to God's will. The statement reflects the broader narrative of divine guidance in Tinubu’s tenure amid Nigeria’s complex political and socio-economic challenges.
