NNPP Chairman Warns Defectors of Rough Road Ahead Amid Party Turmoil

Politics‘Your road will continue to be rough’ – NNPP Chairman to defectors

National Rescue Movement of Nigeria and Peoples Party (NNPP) National Chairman, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, issued a stern warning to recent defectors, declaring their political paths would remain fraught with challenges due to disloyalty and opportunism. Speaking amid ongoing internal crises, Aniebonam accused the defectors of abandoning the party's founding principles of rescue politics for personal gains, particularly after the Supreme Court's affirmation of Rabiu Kwankwaso as the legitimate 2023 presidential candidate.

He emphasized that NNPP remains resilient, poised for greater electoral success in 2027 by upholding integrity over alliances with "failed" platforms.

Aniebonam recounted how defectors, including figures like Buba Galadima who once championed Kwankwaso's leadership, now undermine the party through baseless lawsuits and factional splits. He vowed no reconciliation with those prioritizing self-interest, predicting their exclusion from NNPP's progressive agenda focused on economic revival and youth empowerment. The chairman urged loyalists to redouble efforts, dismissing the exodus as a purge of opportunists while highlighting Kwankwaso's enduring popularity nationwide.
