Nwabali joined Chippa United three years ago from Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) side Katsina United and has since established himself as one of the top goalkeepers in the South African top flight.
The 28-year-old shot-stopper attracted transfer interest last summer following his impressive performances for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
However, he opted to stay with Chippa United, signing a new three-year contract and being named team captain.
According to reports from South African website Kickoff, Chippa United are now prepared to cash in on Nwabali to raise funds for new signings.
The club has already identified two potential replacements to take over the goalkeeping duties once he departs.
Nwabali’s consistent performances have made him a key player for Chippa United, and his potential move could see him secure a transfer to a bigger club either within South Africa or abroad.
