Jane Edidiong Ufot, daughter of Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno and his Senior Special Adviser on Health, Safety, and Environment, has made shocking allegations against her father in a viral video. She claimed that her late mother, Patience Oluwakemi Umo Eno, who died in September 2024 after an undisclosed illness, was “sacrificed,” implying possible foul play linked to the governor.
In the emotionally charged video, Mrs. Ufot declared, “I’m not a sacrifice, mummy was, but I’m not,” suggesting she refuses to suffer the same fate. She also handed her phone to her young daughter, who appeared to be on a video call with Governor Umo Eno. The child, prompted by her mother, asked the governor, “So, Grandpa, do you want them to kill us? Do you want them to die like my baby brother died?” There was no audible response from the governor during the exchange. The identities of “them” and the “baby brother” remain unclear and unconfirmed.
Mrs. Ufot further alleged that both her life and that of her daughter are under threat due to undisclosed revelations she hinted might soon become public. “If I die today or my daughter dies… my blood will not go scot-free,” she warned.
Patience Umo Eno’s death was officially attributed to illness, but details have remained private, fueling speculation following these accusations. The video has sparked widespread concern and debate, though Governor Umo Eno and the Akwa Ibom State Government have yet to respond publicly.
This development has intensified scrutiny on the governor’s family and raised calls for investigations into the circumstances surrounding the late First Lady’s death and the safety of Mrs. Ufot and her daughter.
