Famous Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze has officially replaced embattled podcaster Nedu Wazobia as a host on The Honest Bunch Podcast. The announcement was made on Sunday night via the podcast’s official Instagram page, which shared a new poster featuring Daddy Freeze alongside the crew.
The post described the change as ushering in “a new era” with “hotter takes, deeper convos, and unapologetic honesty.” Daddy Freeze confirmed the development by sharing the poster on his own Instagram page, captioning it, “A New Era Has Begun.”
This transition comes four months after Nedu stepped down from the podcast amid accusations that he used the platform to sleep with up-and-coming entertainers in exchange for appearances. The controversy intensified following an episode featuring Big Brother Naija star DeeOne, who alleged that social media critic VeryDarkMan is gay. VeryDarkMan then accused Nedu of exploiting the platform for personal gain and threatened to expose others involved.
Despite the scandal, Nedu stated during a press conference that he had no regrets about inviting DeeOne to the podcast.
Daddy Freeze’s entry into The Honest Bunch is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the show, with fans anticipating more candid and unfiltered discussions under his stewardship.
