Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, wife of the Delta State Governor and founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, has expressed disappointment over the disregard and lack of appreciation surrounding the support given to the family of quintuplets in Ekurede-Itsekiri, Warri South Local Government Area. She vehemently denied claims that the family of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ogagbe, parents of the quintuplets, had been abandoned.
The governor’s wife recently paid a surprise visit to the family, presenting cash gifts and a symbolic key to a new shop to the mother of the quintuplets three boys and two girls who had waited many years before being blessed with the children. Deaconess Oborevwori urged the parents to raise the children in the fear of God and maintain a hygienic environment to prevent diseases. She also promised continued support for the children’s upkeep and commended the local government chairman for his prompt response to the family’s needs.
Despite these efforts, Deaconess Oborevwori expressed frustration at misinformation and lack of recognition for the support provided. She highlighted the positive impact of her foundation’s intervention and the community’s appreciation for the unprecedented birth in the area.
In addition to supporting the quintuplets’ family, the governor’s wife recently commissioned the reconstructed Nupe section of the Igbudu Market in Warri and presented a ₦10 million revolving loan to traders, demonstrating her commitment to community development and welfare.
Her statements and actions underscore ongoing efforts by the Delta State government and its partners to support vulnerable families and promote social welfare, while addressing misinformation that undermines such initiatives.
