Former Super Eagles midfielder Sunday Oliseh has called on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to make a move to the English Premier League this summer if he wants to maintain his status as one of football’s top stars. The former national team captain pointed out that Nigerians are eager to see Osimhen compete in England, especially as he has long been linked with top clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea. “This is a player that if he wants to continue to be in the limelight, he has to go to the Premier League. Nigerians want to see him there. He has been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea for a long time,” Oliseh stated.
However, Oliseh cautioned that making such a high-profile move would require Osimhen to adapt and elevate his game even further. “But for him to play that way, for him to become that big, there are many things he has to change,” he added, suggesting that the Premier League presents both an opportunity and a challenge for the Nigerian forward.
