Paris FC sporting director Francois Ferracci has expressed delight over the signing of Nigerian international Moses Simon, who joined the Ligue 1 club from Nantes on a three-year contract. Simon, 29, is the first Nigerian to sign for Paris FC and was described by Ferracci as a “priority recruit” who showed genuine interest in the club despite receiving offers from other established teams.
Ferracci praised Simon’s expected impact, saying, “He will make us more efficient in many areas.” The winger spent six years at Nantes, scoring 37 goals and providing 42 assists in 201 appearances. Last season, Simon registered eight goals and 10 assists in 32 league matches, establishing himself as one of the best wingers in Ligue 1.
The transfer deal was reportedly worth €7 million, and Simon completed his medical ahead of the move. Paris FC, newly promoted to Ligue 1, aims to strengthen its squad with marquee signings like Simon to maintain its top-flight status. Simon’s arrival is seen as a major boost to the club’s ambitions for the 2025/26 season and beyond.
