The Ogun State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed strong optimism that the party, under the new interim leadership of Senator David Mark as National Chairman and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary, will successfully unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
In a statement signed by the ADC Ogun State Publicity Secretary, Olumide Onabajo, the state chairman, Femi Soluade, described the appointments of Mark and Aregbesola as a significant milestone in the party’s quest for national power. He emphasized that their extensive political experience, dedication, and commitment to democratic ideals would strengthen the party’s structure and vision for a better Nigeria.
Soluade added that the Ogun State chapter is committed to ensuring that ADC takes control of the Oke Mosan constituency in 2027, viewing the leadership of Mark and Aregbesola as a gateway for meaningful change in the state and the country at large.
He called on all ADC members, supporters, and stakeholders to unite and work diligently toward creating a foundation for a brighter future for Ogun State and Nigeria. The statement conveyed confidence that the coalition’s strategic leadership would be pivotal in challenging President Bola Tinubu’s APC and delivering a new government in 2027.
