Turkish club Galatasaray has finalized the permanent signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli by activating his €75 million release clause, making it the highest transfer fee ever paid in Turkish football history. The transfer fee will be paid in two instalments to Napoli.
Additionally, Galatasaray agreed to pay Napoli 10% of any profit made from Osimhen’s future transfer sale.
Osimhen has signed a four-year contract with Galatasaray, effective from the 2025-2026 season. His remuneration package includes:
- A guaranteed net salary of €15 million per season
- A net loyalty bonus of €1 million annually
- An image rights fee of €5 million annually

This deal follows Osimhen’s loan spell at Galatasaray during the 2024/25 season, where he was instrumental in winning the Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup, finishing as the league’s top scorer and breaking the record for most goals scored by a foreign player in a single season. Before joining Galatasaray on loan, Osimhen played four seasons with Napoli, helping them win their first Serie A title in 33 years.
The transfer cements Osimhen’s status as one of the most valuable players in football and highlights Galatasaray’s ambition to make a significant impact in Turkish and European football.
