Tanko emphasized that Peter Obi remains a dedicated and loyal member of the Labour Party under Senator Usman’s leadership, reaffirming Obi’s continued support for individuals who have won the party’s ticket for various elections. The statement came amid media speculation fueled by Obi’s absence from certain party events and his participation in the opposition coalition led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The Obidient Movement clarified that Obi’s involvement in the coalition, which has the full endorsement of the LP leadership, including Senator Usman, is a strategic move to forge a viable political alternative for Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
