Portsmouth Football Club has confirmed the signing of 20-year-old Nigerian-born goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor from Brighton & Hove Albion. Erhabor has agreed to a one-year contract with Portsmouth’s women’s team in the Barclays Women’s Championship, with an option to extend for a further year.
Having previously spent time on loan at Portsmouth, as well as with Hibernian and Plymouth Argyle, Erhabor is expected to play a vital role in Portsmouth’s campaign to gain promotion to the Women’s Super League.
The goalkeeper has been involved with Nigeria’s youth national teams, including the Under-17 squad, and is considered a promising talent who could emerge as a future first-choice goalkeeper for the Super Falcons.
Portsmouth manager Jay Sadler praised Erhabor’s character and potential, highlighting the competition and depth she brings to the goalkeeping department as the team prepares for the new season.
