The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia, Tersoo Kula, has publicly criticized Senator Titus Zam of Benue North-West for persistently launching what he described as "reckless vitriol and falsehood" against Governor Alia. In a statement, Kula took issue with a recent article authored by one of Zam’s aides that appeared to personally attack him.
Kula called the article "malicious and poorly conceived" and accused the senator of intolerance to criticism despite Zam himself allegedly using offensive language publicly against the governor. He described Zam’s attacks as more personal and obsessive rather than constructive criticism, asserting that the senator has made Governor Alia a "full-time constituency project."
The CPS stressed that his role is to represent and defend the governor’s administration, which has focused on infrastructure development, agricultural revival, prompt payment of workers’ salaries, and restoring dignity in governance. Kula emphasized these achievements cannot be undone by what he termed propaganda and propaganda aimed at maligning the governor.
He warned Zam and his aides to practice responsible public discourse and highlighted that attacking the governor does not translate into positive outcomes like job creation or community development.
