Ruth Otabor, sister of Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Phyna, has tragically passed away on the morning of August 31, 2025. Ruth sustained serious injuries after being hit by a Dangote Cement truck on August 13, 2025, at Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State. The accident led to the amputation of her legs, and despite medical care, she succumbed to her injuries at around 6:30 am.

The driver was apprehended after fleeing the scene, and the incident sparked widespread calls for justice from fans, celebrities, and the public.
