Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has warned members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition that they risk being decimated before the 2027 general elections.
Galadima noted that some members of the ADC coalition have moved from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to the ADC but remain disorganized.
In an interview with Arise Television’s Prime Time, he cautioned that defeating President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not be easy.
Highlighting prominent politicians like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, and Rotimi Amaechi who are part of the coalition, Galadima said the coalition suffers from internal weaknesses.
He stated: “I warned those trying to form coalition now and they didn’t listen. They think it will be easy to defeat APC under this president? See how they are running from one party to another. Yet, they are disorganized.”
Galadima expressed his preference for an alliance of all opposition groups but blamed selfishness for the coalition’s fragmentation.
He concluded that the ADC coalition’s current state will lead to its decline before the 2027 elections.
