The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged President Bola Tinubu to start preparing his handover note, asserting that Nigerians are unwilling to grant him a second term in the 2027 general elections.
At a press event held at the PDP state secretariat in Yola on Friday, Hamza Madagali, the party’s Organising Secretary in Adamawa State, vocalized widespread impatience among citizens toward Tinubu’s administration.
Madagali accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of lacking clear direction and effectively failing the nation.
He highlighted that recent PDP ward congresses in Adamawa demonstrated the party’s unity and readiness to return to power.
The composition of the National Convention committees, he said, reflected APC’s dwindling influence and presumed approaching end in presidential power.
Madagali remarked, “Nigerians are wiser now; they now know the difference between original and fake. The only way out is to return the PDP back to power.”
This declaration underscores growing opposition momentum and sets the tone for Nigeria’s upcoming electoral contest in 2027.
