Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has issued a strong warning to all appointees in his administration to steer clear of corrupt practices, emphasizing that any form of dishonesty will result in immediate dismissal.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony of new appointees at the Government House in Umuahia, Otti declared a zero-tolerance policy for corruption and poor performance within his government.
He charged the new appointees to dedicate themselves to excellent service delivery, warning that only the best is acceptable, and that mediocrity or unethical conduct would not be tolerated.
Otti assured them of full support and resources required to fulfill their duties while cautioning against distractions from critics and political opponents.
He highlighted that the administration is committed to continuous team building and restructuring ministries to enhance efficiency and responsiveness in governance.
The governor reiterated that those found engaging in self-serving or unethical behaviors would be removed from office and possibly handed over to law enforcement for further investigation.
