N1bn Indebtedness Group Insists Ukachukwu Not Owing, May Sue Soludo’s Aides

A group that came to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu’s defense has insisted that he does not owe the alleged N1 billion debt circulating in social media videos.

The videos showed Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Anambra State, being confronted by men claiming he owed huge sums of money.

Supporters of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate Prof. Chukwuma Soludo have circulated the videos, alleging the money was borrowed for the purchase of governorship forms and to finance election campaigns.

However, Dr. Justin Nwankwo, a supporter of Ukachukwu, debunked the circulating videos as staged political drama aimed at tarnishing Ukachukwu’s reputation ahead of the election.

Nwankwo questioned the credibility of the alleged debt and the manner in which it was pursued, highlighting the lack of legal documentation, contracts, collateral, or court cases supporting the claims.

He criticized the ‘debt collectors’ for bringing cameramen instead of legal enforcement and suggested the video was a choreographed act for social media consumption.

The group indicated it may take legal action against aides of Soludo responsible for fueling the defamatory campaign.
