Princess Oluremi Nutayi Ajose, Vice Chairman of Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State, has passed away just two months after taking office.
Reports from Badagry confirmed her death on Saturday, which has deeply shocked the local political and traditional communities.
Ajose was sworn in on July 27, 2025, alongside the LCDA Chairman, Hon. Rauf Ibrahim Kayode Yemaren, and five councilors in a ceremony presided over by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
She was the daughter of His Royal Majesty Oba Oyekan Possi Ajose, the Alapa of Apa Egun-Awori Kingdom, adding to the grief within the royal family and local community.
Her remains have been deposited in a morgue as the community mourns her sudden passing.
This follows a similar recent tragedy involving Oluwakemi Rufai, Councillor for Ward C1, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, who died barely two weeks after being sworn in on August 13.
