A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has urged Governor Siminalayi Fubara to dismiss all political appointees made by the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, during his six-month tenure.
Governor Fubara returned to the Rivers State Government House on Friday after his six-month suspension declared by President Bola Tinubu.
During Ibas’s administration, several appointments were made, which Eze argues Fubara must not work with to restore proper governance.
He expects the Governor to ensure no appointee of the "illegal Sole Administrator" remains in office and insists that no one should be imposed on Fubara as commissioner or aide.
Eze also called for peace by urging the reabsorption of all members of the State Assembly who resigned or worked with Fubara.
Further, he urged President Tinubu to reassure Governor Fubara that he would be protected against any impeachment attempts by "funny members" of the State Assembly.
He warned that in the absence of such assurances, Fubara should exercise his full powers as executive Governor to maneuver the political situation effectively.
