The Kogi East Christian Elders Forum (KECEF) tasked the Federal Government with launching aggressive offensives against bandits perpetrating attacks, kidnappings, and killings across Nigeria, rejecting reactive defenses in favor of eradication.
In a communiqué from their 2-day Annual National Prayer Congress in Ankpa, signed by President Pastor Joseph Egwuda and Secretary Elder Joel Dagono, KECEF endorsed CAN and Middle Belt Forum calls for decisive action, welcoming President Trump's "Country of Particular Concern" label as a wake-up call on Christian-targeted genocide.
The elders opposed classifying the Middle Belt as a northern appendage, urging self-help via Kogi East Neighbourhood Watch, youth networks, and vetted vigilantes for defensive patrols and church protection.
They condemned non-indigene turbanning by traditional rulers, promoted Igala culture preservation, voter registration, and Christian political mobilization while pledging prayers for regional leaders.
