Tech billionaire Elon Musk announced a $1 million award on Thursday for supporters of his group's petition targeting what he calls "activist judges" in Wisconsin. The head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) made the declaration in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) platform.
Musk's Million-Dollar Incentive
In his post, Musk wrote:
"Exciting to announce our first million-dollar award for supporting our petition against activist judges in Wisconsin! Next million-dollar award will be announced in 2 days."
Reports confirm that Scott A. from Green Bay has already received the initial prize.
$100 for Petition Signatures
Musk’s political action committee, America PAC, is offering Wisconsin voters $100 each to sign the petition opposing judicial activism. The group, which supports former President Donald Trump’s administration, was established by Musk earlier this year.
The committee stated that the financial incentive aims to encourage voter participation in challenging what it describes as judicial overreach. Critics, however, argue that the move could be seen as an attempt to influence judicial independence.
Growing Political Influence
This latest initiative underscores Musk’s increasing involvement in U.S. politics. The billionaire has been vocal about his stance on government reform, particularly targeting judicial systems he views as biased.
With another million-dollar award set to be announced soon, the campaign is expected to intensify debates over judicial accountability and the role of money in political activism.
