French Ligue 1 side Toulouse are reportedly working on a deal to sign Nigerian winger Henry Onyekuru this summer. The 27-year-old, currently with Saudi Arabian club Al-Fayha, could return to French football on a free transfer as his contract expires at the end of the season.
Onyekuru has endured a difficult campaign, making just four appearances for Al-Fayha due to injury struggles. With the Saudi club showing no interest in renewing his deal, the former Everton and Monaco attacker appears set for a fresh challenge.
According to reports from Africa Foot, Toulouse are exploring the possibility of bringing in Onyekuru to bolster their attacking options. The Nigerian international previously played in France with AS Monaco during the 2019-20 season, where he made 17 appearances.
Known for his pace and direct style, Onyekuru has also had spells in Belgium with Anderlecht and Galatasaray in Turkey. A move to Toulouse could provide him with an opportunity to revive his career in a competitive European league.
No official agreement has been reached yet, but talks are said to be progressing as Toulouse look to secure reinforcements ahead of next season.
