Lagos, Nigeria – Air Peace has pledged to repatriate Nigerian underage girls trafficked to Ivory Coast, offering them free flights back to Nigeria. The airline's Chairman, Allen Onyema, condemned human trafficking as "inhumane and ungodly," emphasizing the need for collective action to combat it.
In addition to free evacuation, Air Peace will provide medical examinations and treatment at Duchess International Hospital in Ikeja. Onyema urged the Nigerian Embassy in Côte d'Ivoire to identify and gather the victims, while appealing to the Federal Government to take responsibility for their rehabilitation and education.
This initiative follows public outcry over the trafficking, with activist VeryDarkMan raising awareness about the issue.
