Love Ogah, daughter of Living Faith Worldwide founder Bishop David Oyedepo, has shared a dramatic account of how a group of assassins stormed their Lagos home during her secondary school years, intent on killing her father, but were supernaturally prevented from succeeding.
In a recent sermon, Love Ogah recounted the chilling incident, stating that a group of hired killers brazenly entered their residence, announcing their mission to assassinate Bishop Oyedepo. She described how the intruders spent hours ransacking the house, searching every room in a desperate attempt to locate their target, all while the family watched in disbelief.
“The assassins came and said they came to kill my father. They searched everywhere, room to room, but couldn’t find him,” she narrated. The failed search left the assassins bewildered and shocked, as they roamed freely through the house without ever finding Bishop Oyedepo.
According to Love Ogah, Bishop Oyedepo later revealed that he had been present in the house throughout the ordeal but was made invisible to the assassins through divine intervention. "After they left, my father came out and said he saw them the whole time — they just couldn’t see him. All of us were looking like it was a film trick."
Bishop Oyedepo explained to his family that he was supernaturally blinded, rendering him undetectable despite their exhaustive search. The family interpreted the event as a powerful demonstration of divine protection.
The story has resonated widely among members of Living Faith Church and beyond, reinforcing their belief in the spiritual power and protection afforded to Bishop Oyedepo and his family. The tale adds another layer to the larger-than-life persona of Bishop Oyedepo, who has built one of the largest and most influential Pentecostal ministries in Nigeria and globally.
