Peter Obi, former Labour Party presidential candidate, traveled to Plateau State to express solidarity with Governor Caleb Mutfwang and the people affected by recent killings in the Bokkos area.

In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, Obi described the violence as "saddening and utterly unacceptable," emphasizing that no Nigerian should live in fear or uncertainty.

During his visit, Obi spent time with victims, displaced children, and other affected individuals. He stressed that every life is precious and condemned the senseless killings that have forced families to flee their homes. Offering his condolences, he acknowledged the pain and devastation caused by such violence, stating, "No words can truly capture the pain."

Obi highlighted efforts by the Obidient Movement, which had previously built a borehole for clean water at an IDP camp. He announced additional support of 7.5 million naira to aid displaced children, ensure continuous education, and meet ongoing needs of those affected.

Calling for leadership and compassion, Obi reaffirmed his commitment to supporting peace, justice, and healing in Plateau State. He concluded with a message of hope: "A new Nigeria is POssible!"
