Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has pledged overwhelming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general election, vowing that the state will deliver three times as many votes as it did in 2023.
Speaking on Thursday at the Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi during the celebration of his administration’s second anniversary, Governor Idris highlighted the significant federal projects and developmental strides Kebbi has witnessed under Tinubu’s leadership. He contrasted this with the limited federal presence experienced before Tinubu’s tenure.
“With the emergence of the Tinubu administration, Kebbi is now witnessing a series of developmental projects,” Idris stated, emphasizing the positive changes across the state.
He assured that, given the level of federal intervention and ongoing projects, the people of Kebbi have every reason to support Tinubu’s re-election bid. “We will triple the votes President Tinubu got in 2023 come 2027,” he declared, drawing enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
Governor Idris also pointed out the unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi, noting, “You hardly see a state where four former and serving governors come under one roof. This clearly shows Kebbi is an APC stronghold.”
