In the early hours of Wednesday, May 21, 2025, armed robbers launched a daring raid on Efab Global Estate in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The assailants gained entry by breaching the estate’s rear perimeter fence, where they overpowered security personnel tying up two guards and injuring another.
During the attack, the robbers coerced one of the victims into making a forced bank transfer. They also made away with several mobile phones and laptops from within the estate. The incident occurred around 4:05 a.m., according to police sources cited by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama.
Police patrol teams were promptly dispatched to the scene following a distress call to the Life Camp Division’s Divisional Police Officer. However, the suspects had already fled before law enforcement arrived. The injured security guard was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) for medical treatment.
In response to the attack, security measures around Efab Global Estate have been significantly reinforced to prevent further incidents. Authorities continue to investigate the robbery as part of ongoing efforts to enhance safety in the area.
