Ballon d’Or 2025: Mohamed Salah Says “This Is My Best Chance” to Win Award

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has declared that the 2025 Ballon d’Or is his “best chance” yet to claim the prestigious individual honor, following an outstanding season with the Reds.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 32-year-old Egyptian forward reflected on his remarkable campaign, which saw Liverpool lift the Premier League title. Salah has been instrumental in the club’s success, notching 28 goals and providing 18 assists so far this season. He also currently leads the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.

“I would say I never had a season like this and winning big trophies. So I would say this is my best chance to get it right now while I’m in the club because it’s been a crazy year, a crazy season with a trophy,” Salah said.

The Ballon d’Or winner will be announced on September 22, with Salah considered one of the favorites. However, he faces stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé and Barcelona’s rising star Lamine Yamal.

Salah’s impressive form and trophy haul have made him a leading contender, and fans across the world will be watching closely to see if this is the year he finally secures football’s top individual accolade.
