Nigerian international goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has addressed recent speculation about his future at Serie A club Udinese, affirming his commitment to the club despite reported interest from top European teams.
Okoye, 25, was linked with a move to Italian giants AC Milan last summer and has also attracted attention from Premier League side Bournemouth. However, in a statement to Udinese’s official website, Okoye reassured fans of his dedication to the club.
“I am one of you, I am a black and white player, and I am happy to be here,” Okoye said. “It is difficult to think about the future because I am only focused on Udinese. The club and the fans have entered my heart.”
Okoye has enjoyed an impressive season with the Zebras, making 24 appearances and keeping four clean sheets under manager Kosta Runjaic. Since joining Udinese from Watford two years ago, he has established himself as a key figure in the squad.
For now, Okoye remains focused on his current club, leaving any potential transfer decisions for the future.
