Victor Osimhen in Talks Over Potential Move to Saudi Club Al-Hilal

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly in advanced talks over a summer transfer to Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal, according to  French outlet Footmercato.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Turkish club Galatasaray from Napoli for the 2024/25 season, is widely expected to leave the Italian side on a permanent deal at the end of the campaign. The 26-year-old has a €75 million release clause in his Napoli contract, which can be triggered this summer. However, this clause does not apply to Serie A clubs, meaning Italian rivals like Juventus who are also interested in his signature would need to negotiate a higher fee.

Al-Hilal, seeking to bolster their attacking options following Neymar’s departure in January, have reportedly made contact with Osimhen’s representatives. The Saudi club is keen to secure an established striker to lead their front line in the upcoming season.

Osimhen’s future has been the subject of intense speculation, with several top European clubs monitoring his situation. However, Al-Hilal’s financial muscle and ambition could make them strong contenders for his signature.

If the deal goes through, Osimhen would join a growing list of high-profile players making the switch to the Saudi Pro League, reflecting the league’s ongoing efforts to attract global football talent.
