Abia North Senator and former governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, has emphatically declared his willingness to lay down his life to ensure victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 elections. Speaking to journalists at his country home in Igbere, Abia State, Kalu reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to APC and President Bola Tinubu, pledging to work tirelessly to deliver the state to the ruling party.
Kalu expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and achievements over the past two years, stating that these accomplishments have earned the president the support of Nigerians nationwide. “APC is strong in Abia. Like I said in my interview, I am ready to lay down my life for the party. I am a member of the party and a strong one at that. I am APC to the core. That’s why APC is strong in Abia North,” he said.
The former Senate Chief Whip emphasized that the APC will replicate its past successes in Abia State by securing a decisive win for Tinubu in 2027. “Our party will work hard to deliver the President in the state. We have done it in the past, and we will do it again in 2027,” he added.
On the nation’s economy, Kalu expressed optimism about its recovery, attributing this to President Tinubu’s efforts to stabilize the naira and revitalize economic growth. “The economy needs time to bounce back. The President is working to ensure that the economy bounces back,” he said.
Kalu’s declaration underscores the determination of APC loyalists in Abia State to consolidate the party’s influence and support President Tinubu’s re-election bid, signaling a robust campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
